Lassia har funints med i apollo-katalogen..konstigt att det e borttaget..men vissa hotell är ju gäster mindre nöjda med..dessutom ligger lassia en bit bort från byn..kanske längre bort vad många vill bo...

Jo, några meter var det.
Men en lämplig, kortare promenad, innan maten (förbi åsnan) var bara bra.
Den första restaurangen man kom till på promenaden till stan (eller byn är kanske mera rätt...) var just våran favorit.
Restaurangen ligger alltså längt upp i byn.
Återbesök till hösten är planerat, bara den nu finns kvar...
Det är det som ursprungsfrågan gäller: Är den kvar, favoritrestaurangen?

Hittade favoritrestaurangens namn: The Traditional.
Här är några omdömen:
To Paradosiakó (The Traditional). It's in one of the back streets behind the big rock, but we don't know the name of the street (It's the same street where Alice's pottery is in). The family that runs it is called Pappou E. Likaterini and the tel.number is : 0253- 41058. You can sit outside on the terrace where they have their traditional oven to prepare the garlic bread and the dishes you get served in a clay pot, like youvétsi, kokkinistó etc. And when it's too windy, you can also sit inside. The people are very friendly and the food is very good and still very Greek. They still put a lot of garlic in the tsasíki and don't "europe-nise" it by leaving it almost out, like too many restaurants do nowadays. Before your meal you always get warm garlicbread and after, everyone gets free icecream. If you can't find the restaurant, send me an e-mail and I'll send you their card with photo and little map on it. (we have not got a scan, otherwise we would send it with this e-mail). We wish you a lot of success with your sites and will visit them again now and then. We also recommend them to other Greece-lovers in Holland.

We just got back from Petra, Lesvos, and found the To Paradosiako restaurant as recommended by Marianne and Leo Oosterling.
It's well worth a visit, and our directions are:
Face the rock with the sea to your back, and walk up the right-hand side street. You will pass a lot of restaurants on your right, the rock being on your left, but keep going. You will come to Alexander Square (mini market and another restaurant). At this point you are about halfway there, so keep walking. All this time you will be going slightly uphill, but the gradient is not steep. When the gradient flattens out and you start to think you are too far out of town - there it will be, on the right. A small terrace, a few tables in the street, some trees in pots outside. It's a charming restaurant, the food is good (not great, but very, very good).
We had the homemade tomato soup and fried octopus as our starters, both excellent, in fact Barry said it was the best octopus he'd had on the island. Lamb to follow and finally yoghurt and honey, which comes as a matter of course after the main dish.
A caraffe of the house white washed it all down very well and the bill was about 16,000 drx (just over £30 Sterling UK).
Holdt på å glemme Paradosiako, langt oppe i byen, som har god mat, og arrangerer gresk aften med musikk hver mandag. Et par av de andre restaurantene som reklamerer med levende musikk, er mer å betrakte som turistfeller, og vi hadde våre minst vellykkede middager der.
Munnen løper i vann her jeg sitter og skriver, og jeg ønsker dere god tur og god apetitt... eller kalo taxidi kai kalo orexi, som det heter der nede.

Det va den resturangen jag tänkte på oxå..Jag har ätit på den ett antal gånger o på fredagarna hade dom grekisk live musik o dans, gästerna fick vara med o lära sig att dansa..
De är kända för sin goda mat!

Resan är bokad.
Avfärd först till hösten men ändå...
The Traditional kan räkna med tillfälliga stamkunder.
Kul med lite riktigt Grekland i Petra med omnejd efter resan till turistiga Parga.

Våra hjärtan gråter.
The Traditional har sålts. Numera är det inte en av Petras bästa och trevligaste restaurenger. Tvärt om!
Synd bara att namnet är kvar. Det känns lite falskt.
Vi irrade omkring en vecka för att hitta en ny favorit.
Gyrostället och restaurangen mitt emot (med kyckling på spett) i gränden ovanför turistfällorna var helt okey.
Men den bästa, enligt vår ringa mening, var Lucky Horse - en av restaurangerna efter strandgatan (nära fotbollsplanen och cafe reef). På Lucky Horse var det ouzo med tilltugg före och melon efteråt, samt, det viktigaste, god mat till bra priser.
